The bicycle is amongst the most notable of human inventions. Cycle was first introduced in 19th-century in Europe in form of a pedal-driven land vehicle or a pushbike compact with two wheels attached to a frame on a single row. The familiar design of cycle then quickly developed into the current design. It can be assumed that there is more than one billion of cycle in the world today. The bicycle is the prime means of transportation in many countries; even it is also used as a frivolous vehicle transport. However there is a lot of bewilderment regarding the invention of the very first bicycle.
In fact there is not such notable change found in the configuration and basic shape of the cycle. However the first chain-driven model cycle that was developed in 1895 has almost same as compare to the today’s cycle in form of its frame, wheels, pedals, saddle and handlebars. Somehow some typical improvements have been made to the recent designed cycles with the help of modern materials and computer-based design. For instance, the relatively same only can found and that is the conventional design of saddle or the seat of bicycle. Although the cycle today is experimented with noseless seats, but sill people want the same conventional design seat. Another important segment of bicycles are Lights which is hardly to be ignored. Although one does not prefer to apply light on their bicycle during the night, but is important to have a lighting system as precautionary. Lighting in bicycle will serve purpose of seeing others and making you visible to others both of which will helping in avoiding any possible casualty in dark. Considerably the bicycle has affected both the history of the cultural and industrial realms. Today different materials are used in cycle as far as the frames are concerned. In fact these frames are typically made from carbon, aluminum and magnesium. Even some cycle industries are using expensive titanium frames today. |
