There are two important riding needs such as saddle selection and saddle posture. There will be minimal chances of saddle sores right if saddle and the right posture can reduce pressure on your crotch. Saddle selection depends on your riding technique however, there is no one saddle posture that fits for all. The saddle should be wide enough which is suggested that it enable the "sit bones" to support your body’s weight on a saddle. It is very harmful for men, if they use a very narrow seat, because the body weight is placed on the soft tissue. But in case of women they have wider sit bones. If the seats are neither flat nor slightly curvaceous, it may create some problems to your position. In case of a sharp curvature it places the sit bones below the saddle’s center, adding to crotch pressure. So it will be comfortable if it is 6 degrees of curvature or less than that. If you want to save from injury in long run you should avoid thickly padded saddles. You can also choose from wedge shaped or gel padded saddles. There is no simply way get comfort until you ride on a selected design cycle. Even you will get a facility from some bike shops that provide a test ride program. You can return the saddle back if you are unsatisfied. You can be master the style of riding and the positioning if these are imperative for increased comfort. It is much more comfortable for you if a saddle that is slightly off-center compared to the top tube. And others need to adjust their sitting angle. You should be able to tilt the saddle slightly to the right or the left if the nose of the saddle is discomforting to you. You can also avoid constant pressure and discomfort by keep moving on or off the saddle. You can stand up and pedal for short periods of time while you are climbing over a plateau. This will ensure proper blood circulation through the body. You can cultivate good habits at your riding on the road. You should try to seat yourself on the wider area of the saddle which is good habit. If you can use of shock-absorbing seats for better comfort it will be considered as a good habit also. Do not overload yourself with unnecessary backpacks otherwise only increase the weight making posture adjustment difficult. Exactly the same problem can be experienced by obese people. |
